Composite Resin Fillings

Fillings don’t have to be unsightly.  Older filling techniques and materials lead to stained, discolored, and even fractured teeth over time.  However, today’s filling materials are, in most cases, nearly indistinguishable from your natural teeth.  In our Sparks, NV dental office, our dentists utilize composite and porcelain fillings, materials which closely match the color, form, and composition of your natural teeth.  The results are fillings that are far more aesthetic and blend cosmetically with the adjacent teeth.  Also, composite fillings have the added benefit of bonding to the natural tooth structure and are less likely to crack or break, resulting in less leakage and/or breakage over time.  Additionally, modern filling techniques are more conservative, allowing more of your natural tooth to be preserved than with traditional metal fillings.  And finally, health concerns over metal toxicity are virtually eliminated with our aesthetic fillings.

Dental Implant Restorations

Dental implants are rapidly becoming the standard of care in dentistry to replace missing teeth and may be the most conservative, predictable, and functional way to do so.  Whether you need to replace a single tooth or to create a full mouth of secure and permanent new teeth, implants are a proven and long-lasting alternative to bridges or partial dentures.  During a simple and relatively pain-free procedure, the titanium dental implants will be surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone while you are under local anesthetic.  During the healing phase, the titanium implants will bond with the bone to form a stable foundation for permanent porcelain crowns (implant restorations) that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.  There are numerous reasons for why dental implants may be your ideal treatment. Dental implants can:

  • Replace one or more missing teeth without adversely affecting any nearby teeth
  • Enhance and restore a natural, healthy, confident smile
  • Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by missing teeth
  • Restore proper function, esthetics, and overall oral health
  • Lend support, comfort, and security to a bridge or denture

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

When a tooth becomes damaged from trauma, decay, or abnormal wear, a porcelain crown can restore its natural appearance and function.  Crowns and bridges are custom-built coverings for damaged teeth that can strengthen the tooth and are used to recreate a normal, healthy, and functional tooth.  They are typically utilized to replace old and/or large fillings, protect endodontically (root-canal) treated teeth, and protect worn or fractured teeth from further damage or permanent loss.  Crowns and bridges may also be cosmetic treatment options for smile re-design to enhance and restore your smile.
